### Part 1 — From Purim to Pesach

- Scene 3 · LM II:74 §1 · paragraph §1.1
  - EN (our paraphrase): After Purim we read Parashas Parah, which is a preparation for Pesach. For Parashas Parah is read so that people will take care to be purified from the impurity of the dead, so that they will be pure to bring the Pesach offering.
- Scene 4 · LM II:74 §1 · paragraph §1.2
  - EN (our paraphrase): At first it is the aspect of Pur, for Purim is named after the lot; and afterwards it becomes Parah. For Purim too is surely a going and a path to Pesach.
- Scene 5 · LM II:74 §1 · paragraph §1.3
  - EN (our paraphrase): And this is the aspect of 'his lips are roses, dripping flowing myrrh'. 'His lips' is Pesach, peh sach, a mouth that speaks. The rose is Esther. 'Dripping flowing myrrh' is Mordechai, mor dror, a term of freedom, the freedom of Pesach.
- Scene 6 · LM II:74 §1 · paragraph §1.4
  - EN (our paraphrase): So the letters of Purim are hinted in Pesach, in the verse: 'Seven days you shall eat matzos as I commanded you, at the appointed time of the month of spring, for in it you went out of Egypt; and do not appear before Me empty-handed.' The initials of 'mi'Mitzrayim, velo yera'u panai reikam' spell Purim; for Purim is a path to Pesach, so that we can take care against chametz.
- Scene 8 · LM II:74 §1 · paragraph §1.5
  - EN (our paraphrase): For at first all the beginnings were from Pesach, and so all the mitzvos are a remembrance of leaving Egypt. And now...
