### Part 1 — Above Time

- Scene 3 · LM II:61 §1 · paragraph §1.1
  - EN (our paraphrase): Hashem, blessed be He, is above time, as is brought. And this matter is truly very wondrous and hidden; it cannot be grasped with a human mind.
- Scene 4 · LM II:61 §1 · paragraph §1.2
  - EN (our paraphrase): But know: time exists mainly because we do not understand, that is, because our minds are small. For the greater the mind, the more time shrinks and is nullified.
- Scene 6 · LM II:61 §1 · paragraph §1.3
  - EN (our paraphrase): For in a dream, when the mind has withdrawn and only the power of imagination is left, seventy years can pass in a quarter of an hour. In a dream it seems that many, many seasons go by in a very short while; and afterwards, on waking from sleep, one sees that all those seasons and the seventy years that passed in the dream were truly a very short time.
- Scene 7 · LM II:61 §1 · paragraph §1.3
  - EN (our paraphrase): This is because afterwards, awake, the mind returns to him; and to the mind, all those seventy years that passed in the dream are only a quarter of an hour. Only a real seventy years is seventy years to our mind as well.
- Scene 8 · LM II:61 §1 · paragraph §1.4
  - EN (our paraphrase): And in truth, to the higher mind above ours, even what we count as a real seventy years is also only a quarter of an hour, or less. Just as we see that seventy years can pass in a dream, and afterwards our mind knows it was only a quarter of an hour, so exactly what our mind counts as a real seventy years is, to the higher mind, only a quarter of an hour. Only we do not understand it.
- Scene 9 · LM II:61 §1 · paragraph §1.5
  - EN (our paraphrase): For in a dream too, if someone came to him while he was dreaming and told him that all these days and years that seem to pass are really nothing, and the whole thing is only a quarter of an hour, he surely would not believe him at all; for in the dream's imagination it seems to him that real days and years are passing. Exactly so: though to our minds it seems a span of seventy years, to the greater mind it is only a quarter of an hour.
- Scene 11 · LM II:61 §1 · paragraph §1.6
  - EN (our paraphrase): And so higher and higher: to a mind higher still, even the time that exists for the mind above ours counts there only as a very short, small time.
- Scene 12 · LM II:61 §1 · paragraph §1.6
  - EN (our paraphrase): And so higher and higher, until there is a mind so lofty that there all of time counts for nothing at all; for because the mind is so very great, all time is utterly nothing. Just as for us the seventy years that pass in a dream are truly only a quarter of an hour, so there is mind above mind, until time is completely nullified.
- Scene 14 · LM II:61 §2, on Tehillim 2:7 · paragraph §2.1
  - EN (our paraphrase): Therefore Mashiach, who has passed through what he has passed through since the day the world was created, and has suffered what he has suffered, after all this, at the end, Hashem, blessed be He, will say to him: 'You are My son; today I have begotten you.'
- Scene 15 · LM II:61 §2 · paragraph §2.2
  - EN (our paraphrase): At first glance this is very strange and wondrous. But it is all because of the immense greatness of Mashiach's mind, by the great level he will reach then, and because his mind will grow so very, very great. So all the time that has passed over him, from the day the world was created until then, will be utterly nothing, and it will be truly as if he were born today.
- Scene 16 · LM II:61 §2 · paragraph §2.2
  - EN (our paraphrase): For all time will be nullified in his mind, which will be very great. And so Hashem, blessed be He, will say to him: 'today I have begotten you': today, truly, for all the time that has passed is utterly nothing.
- Scene 18 · LM II:61 §3 · paragraph §3.1
  - EN (our paraphrase): And we see the same with space. A strong person can cross a great distance in a short time; so for him all that space is small, while for the weak the same space is large, and they must walk a long while until they cross it. So too higher and higher: the greater the strength, the smaller the space becomes for him.
- Scene 19 · LM II:61 §3 · paragraph §3.2
  - EN (our paraphrase): And so higher and higher, until space is completely nullified. Only, with our minds we cannot understand all this; just as in a dream one cannot understand the truth, that all the time that seems to pass in the dream is really nothing, so we too cannot understand that all our time is nothing above, in the higher mind.
